Nets sign G/F Shawne Williams
The New York Knicks’ loss is the rival New Jersey Nets’ gain.The Nets announced Thursday they’ve reached an agreement on a contract with swingman Shawne Williams. Terms were not made available.Williams opted to join New Jersey rather than return to the Knicks, who have reportedly been courting Jamal Crawford to take Williams’ place.Williams was a useful player off the bench last season, averaging 7.1 points and 3.7 rebounds in just over 20 minutes per game.
