New Orleans signs Dominic McGuire

The New Orleans Hornets signed journeyman forward Dominic McGuire on Sunday.

McGure, 6-9, last played with the Toronto Raptors. He was drafted in the second round out of Fresno State by the Washington Wizards in 2007 and has also played with the Sacramento Kings, Charlotte Bobcats and Golden State Warriors, averaging 2.8 points and 3.4 rebounds.

He played in 15 games with the Raptors before being waived on Nov. 30.

The Hornets, which have two open sports on their roster, are 5-17 going into the game against the Portland Trail Blazers at 9 p.m. on Sunday.
