‘No Timetable’ for Mavs’ Brandan Wright
As soon as he got hit on his left shoulder during last Tuesday’s practice, Brandan Wright immediately knew something was amiss.
“I felt a little something,” the Dallas Mavericks’ backup center/power forward said Monday morning. “I knew something had happened, but I thought it was a bruise or something and I would shake it off.
“But I still felt it a couple of hours later, and the next day.”
Two days after Wright’s initial contact with a teammate, an MRI revealed he has a small non-displaced fracture of his left shoulder. Wright will be sidelined indefinitely and will be evaluated on a weekly basis.
“There’s no timetable,” Wright said of his eventual return. “I’m just taking it day-by-day really and see where it goes.”
