No Word From Hornets on Eric Gordon
With today the deadline for offering shooting guard Eric Gordon a contract extension, Hornets General Manager Dell Demps remains coy.
But ultimately it appears NBA Commissioner David Stern will make the final call because of the league’s ownership of the Hornets.
“I wish it was all settled; as a former player I know how all the other guys are going to get extensions and I know how important that is,’’ Hornets Coach Monty Williams said. “But Commissioner Stern has shown the commitment to not making rushed decisions without getting all the information. I don’t think he’s going to back off from that, so I’m sure he and Dell are talking.’’
