North Carolina Tar Heels center John Henson is feeling “better” after injuring his wrist in a win over Maryland in the ACC tournament earlier this week, but will be a game-time decision for Sunday’s conference championship game against Florida State.Henson missed Saturday’s 69-67 win over North Carolina State with a sprained wrist. The ACC Defensive Player of the Year tested the injury with his wrist heavily taped but couldn’t catch or shoot the ball without pain and was ruled out versus the Wolfpack.“If it had been the Final Four, he probably would have played,” head coach Roy Williams told reporters. “He said it did feel better than it did last night. He could move it more, but there is still some discomfort there. “He had trouble catching and gripping the basketball. That’s his dominant hand, even though he’s righthanded.” Henson suffered the injury after a hard foul by Maryland’s Ashton Pankey early in the first half of North Carolina’s 85-69 victory over the Terrapins Friday. He was hit while driving to the basket and fell hard on his wrist. X-rays revealed no break.Henson averages 13.8 points and leads the Tar Heels in rebounds, 10.1 per game, and blocks, 2.9 per game.
