Notre Dame announced men’s basketball coach Mike Brey has agreed to contract extension through the 2014-2015 season.

Brey, 53, just completed his 12th season with the Fighting Irish and has a record of 124-75 at Notre Dame. He has won at least 21 games each of the past six seasons.

Brey, a former Duke assistant coach hired by Mike Krzyzewski in 1987, came to Notre Dame from Delaware, where he’d posted a 99-52 career record, including two NCAA Tournament trips.
