Nowitzki to Determine Future in Dallas?
(Question) Comment From magicmike … With this offseason being a bust thus far, how much stock do they put in trying to lure one of the big fish next year? If they don’t get one – is it time to start looking to move Dirk (Nowitzki) for the future – allow him to try and play for another and allow them to start trying to rebuild a winner.
(Answer) (Eddie) Sefko: I suspect they will defer to Dirk. And if he wants to move along and take one more swing at the title, they’d do what they could to make it happen for him. But I just don’t see that being Dirk’s style. He may be one of those rare stars who stays the whole time with one team. That would only be right. He’s got a title. Trying to resuscitate this franchise would be a bigger feather in his cap than going to Chicago or Boston or LA or — please, God, no — Miami.
