Dirk: ‘We got to be firing on all cylinders’
Dirk Nowitzki hit on a great point in the Mavericks’ postgame locker room after they overwhelmed the tired and injury-ravaged Timberwolves 100-77. He was talking about Vince Carter and Elton Brand and the bench that carried the Mavericks much of the night, when he had terrific moment of insight.
“If we really want to make this push and make it interesting, we got to be firing on all cylinders,” Nowitzki said. “We need everybody playing well and let it all hang out.”
That pretty much nails it. The Mavericks can’t have three or four guys playing well. They need everybody.
