Nuggets without three vs. Spurs

The Denver Nuggets will remain without their top two big men when they face the San Antonio Spurs Sunday night.Nuggets head coach George Karl told reporters that starting center Nene will likely not play versus the Spurs and that leading scorer Danilo Gallinari will try to return for Monday’s game against the Sacramento Kings. Gallinari, who is averaging 17 points per game, has missed the last 12 contests with a left ankle sprain. Nene has been slowed by a heel injury and has missed the past nine games. He’s averaging 13.4 points and 7.8 rebounds. Karl also ruled out guard Rudy Fernandez, who is out with a lower back strain.
