Oddsmakers: Kentucky favorite in title game
Oddsmakers have tabbed the Kentucky Wildcats as 6.5-point favorites when they face the Kansas Jayhawks for the NCAA National Championship in New Orleans Monday night.The spread opened as high as seven points at some offshore sportsbooks, however, most Las Vegas shops were at a consensus 6.5. The spread has since been bet down to -6 with early money coming in on Kansas.The over/under or total for the national title game opened as high as 141.5 points but has been dropped to as low as 138.5. Kentucky defeated Louisville, 69-61, in the early semifinal game Saturday. Kansas beat Ohio State 64-62 in the late game to advance to the championship.The Wildcats and Jayhawks played each other in Madison Square Garden back in November, with Kentucky winning 75-65 as a 6.5-point favorite. The game finished under the total of 147.5 points.
