Odom, Barnes Key in Clippers’ Success?
During the Clippers’ record-breaking winning streak, a pair of former Lakers have been key in creating leads, holding them and putting games away.
Lamar Odom and Matt Barnes have played big roles in helping the Clippers establish the best record in the NBA, and while neither put up gaudy numbers Friday, both have made a major impact in December.
“I see that they both have a high basketball IQ,” (Jamal) Crawford said Friday. “You can tell that they’ve played together, but Matt knows how to cut, run the floor, how to get open. Lamar is so unselfish at heart. He’s always looking to make the pass first.”
As Odom and Barnes have settled into their roles with the team, the Clippers have played better basketball.
