Odom won’t get playoff share from Mavericks
Lamar Odom remained on the Dallas Mavericks’ roster through the end of their 2011-12 season, but he won’t get any of the team’s playoff money.
A team source has confirmed that Odom, who was placed on the inactive list on April 8, will not receive a $14,000 playoff share. The decision was made by a vote of the Mavericks players.
Odom, who was acquired from the Los Angeles Lakers in a December trade, averaged a career-low 6.6 points on 35.2 percent shooting from the floor in 50 games for the Mavericks. He was dismissed from the team by owner Mark Cuban at halftime of an April 7 loss to the Grizzlies.
Dallas finished third in the Southwest Division at 36-30, and was swept out of the playoffs by Oklahoma City.
