Ohio State’s Jared Sullinger will not attend the NBA Draft this week but plans to watch the event from a restaurant in Columbus.

According to ESPN.com, Sullinger was not invited to Newark, N.J., to be in the green room at the Prudential Center because teams indicated he wasn’t likely to be drafted in the top half of the first round.

NBA executive vice president Stu Jackson reportedly said Sullinger is likely “to go in the teens or in the 20s.”

The two-time All-American has reportedly been eliminated from the draft boards of some teams because of an issue with his back.

Sullinger has worked out for several teams with picks in the top 15, including the Detroit Pistons (ninth overall) Monday.

Prospects not invited to the green room are welcome to attend the event but are seated amongst fans.
