Fact: Tunisia played a tremendously entertaining 20 minutes of basketball against the U.S. on Tuesday night. Fact: Tunisia dunked, drained 3-pointers and watched with glee as Kobe Bryant — the great Kobe Bryant! — dribbled the ball off his foot. Fact: Tunisia still left the court at halftime trailing by 13.

Such is life for The Rest of the World in preliminary-round play here at the London Games, where the U.S. can pack a half full of excruciating underachievement and still obliterate Tunisia 110-63. The U.S., the unquestioned gold-medal favorite, is now 2-0 and will face Nigeria on Thursday.

Mohamed Hadidane, a power forward for Tunisia, asked Bryant to sign his right sneaker after the game. That pretty much summed this one up.
