Pacers’ Roy Hibbert: ‘We’re Faltering’
Washington Wizards John Wall took a page out of Russell Westbrook’s book and all but owned the Pacers Saturday.
Wall, who missed the first three meetings against the Pacers, scored 37 points to lead the Wizards to a 104-85 victory at the Verizon Center.
The loss is the second straight for the Pacers. More importantly, it pushed them two gamesbehind the Knicks for the second seed. It also cut their lead over Chicago in the Central Division down to five games.
Both of the Pacers’ past two losses have been by at least 19 points.
“There didn’t seem to be any sense of urgency,” Pacers center Roy Hibbert said. “We should be peeking right now, but instead, we’re faltering. We haven’t won anything yet. I don’t know if there’s a sense of entitlement or what. We’re not there yet.”
