George steps up, Pacers take Game 1

The Paul George breakout party can’t stop for the postseason.
The Indiana Pacers swingman celebrated his first playoff game as an All-Star with the second triple-double of his career, posting 23 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists in a 107-90 Game 1 victory vs. the Atlanta Hawks. The Pacers took an eight-point lead in the first quarter and never relented in taking a 1-0 lead in the first-round series.
George had help. All five Pacers starters reached double figures in an impressive offensive showing for a team that struggled at the close of the regular season. George shot 3-for-12 from the field, but point guard George Hill balanced that with a 7-for-10 performance for 18 points.
