Pistons’ Caldwell-Pope to Get Starting Nod?
(David Mayo:) Training camp begins Oct. 1 and practices are closed, save for when a specific open practice is arranged (there was one last year at Oakland University). Best guess, barring injury, the 15 signed are the 15 to start the season. I would expect (Kentavious) Caldwell-Pope to become the starting shooting guard sometime during the season, probably earlier than later, but agree (Rodney) Stuckey could begin the season in that role. Stuckey has the experience but Caldwell-Pope can stretch the floor better and fans will like the number of ways he will find to have impact on games. It’s just a question of when the rookie is ready.
