Pistons’ Stuckey: ‘We Just Gotta Be Patient’
For the first time Rodney Stuckey described to the media Tuesday how he broke his right thumb.
He was with his son last Wednesday when he slammed his vehicle door on his thumb.
He didn’t even know what he had done until he tried to walk away — and realized his thumb was stuck. He had to open the door to remove it.
“I was trying to walk away and that’s when I realized, ‘Oh, (expletive),’ ” Stuckey said after Tuesday’s practice. “That’s when all the pain started.
“It happens, man. (Expletive) like this happens.”
“We have no worries,” Stuckey said. “We just gotta be patient and we gotta get healthy and stay in shape.”
