Pittsburgh point guard Travon Woodall will be sidelined one month with both a groin strain and an abdominal tear.

Woodall will not require surgery, Panthers coach Jamie Dixon said.

The junior suffered the injury during Pittsburgh’s 80-69 triumph over crosstown rival Duquesne on Wednesday.

Freshman John Johnson is expected to replace Woodall, who is averaging 14.1 points and 8.3 assists for the Panthers (6-1).
