EAST LANSING — Police are trying to identify those responsible for three fires set Tuesday night outside an apartment complex after Michigan State’s narrow loss to Indiana.

No arrests have been made, East Lansing police Capt. Jeff Murphy said Wednesday.

“Our detective bureau is following up on both of those to see if we can identify suspects,” Murphy said.

The fires — two involving furniture and one in a Dumpster — were set at the Cedar Village apartments, the site of rioting in the past. The complex is near Michigan State University’s campus.

Michigan State lost to top-ranked Indiana, 72-68.
