Now 20, Rivers stands poised to make his first NBA start against the team with which his father finished his playing career in 1995-96.

“He hasn’t even touched the surface yet, as far as what he can be down the road,” Popovich said. “He’s a talented, excited young man who wants to get on that floor and play. As he gets molded and gets smarter, he’s going to be something else.”
