The 2013 NBA All-Star Weekend is almost here. There are six major events in Houston this weekend and we asked four of our writers to predict the outcomes. HOOPSWORLD’s Derek Page, Tommy Beer, Joel Brigham and Lang Greene give their thoughts on the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge, Sears Shooting Stars, Taco Bell Skills Challenge, Foot Locker Three-Point Shootout, Sprite Slam Dunk Contest and the 2013 All-Star Game. First, here is a rundown of each of the major events.

The BBVA Rising Stars Challenge will feature two teams that consist of the NBA’s top rookies and sophomores, which were drafted by Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley. Team Shaq includes Damian Lillard, Kyrie Irving, Andre Drummond, Klay Thompson, Harrison Barnes, Chandler Parsons, Dion Waiters, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Tyler Zeller and Kemba Walker. Team Chuck includes Anthony Davis, Kenneth Faried, Kawhi Leonard, Bradley Beal, Ricky Rubio, Tristan Thompson, Nikola Vucevic, Brandon Knight, Isaiah Thomas and Alexey Shved. Our writers chose the winning team as well as the MVP of the game.

The Sears Shooting Stars features four teams that consist of one current NBA player, one current WNBA player and one NBA legend. Team Lopez is made up of Brook Lopez, Tamika Catchings and Muggsy Bogues. Team Bosh is made up of Chris Bosh, Swin Cash and Dominique Wilkins. Team Harden is made up of James Harden, Tina Thompson and Sam Cassell. Team Westbrook is made up of Russell Westbrook, Robert Horry and Maya Moore.

The Taco Bells Skills Challenge puts six point guards through an obstacle course. This year’s participants are Jrue Holiday, Brandon Knight, Jeff Teague, Damian Lillard, Jeremy Lin and defending champion Tony Parker.

The participants for this year’s Foot Locker Three-Point Shootout are Kyrie Irving, Paul George, Steve Novak, Ryan Anderson, Stephen Curry and Matt Bonner.

The participants for this year’s Sprite Slam Dunk Contest are James White, Gerald Green, Terrence Ross, Eric Bledsoe, Kenneth Faried and defending champion Jeremy Evans.

The 2013 NBA All-Star Game will be held on Sunday night. The East will be represented by LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Garnett, Chris Bosh, Tyson Chandler, Luol Deng, Paul George, Kyrie Irving, Jrue Holiday, Joakim Noah and Brook Lopez (injury replacement for Rajon Rondo). The West will be represented by Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Dwight Howard, Tim Duncan, LaMarcus Aldridge, James Harden, David Lee, Tony Parker, Zach Randolph and Russell Westbrook.
