Having ended a four-game losing streak Tuesday with a win over the Denver Nuggets, the Griz learned Wednesday afternoon that forward Zach Randolph is making considerable progress and his rehabilitation from a torn right medial collateral ligament is on schedule.

A magnetic resonance imaging examination indicated to team physicians that Randolph is healing as expected. He is expected to soon begin non-contact basketball drills on the court.

“The results came back positive and he’s on schedule and progressing,” Griz general manager Chris Wallace said. “I don’t have a timetable for the date he’s back. But there’s no bad news. There are no red flags or talk of surgery. That’s all I’m looking for. The doctors are happy with his progress.”
