Hornets assistant coach James Borrego is leaving New Orleans for an assistant coaching job with Jacque Vaughn’s new staff in Orlando.
Hornets head coach Monty Williams said current New Orleans assistant Bryan Gates will be taking on more responsibility in Borrego’s absence. Williams has not said when he’ll make a new addition to his staff, which also includes Randy Ayers, Dave Hanners and Fred Vinson.

Most "big announcements" involve some sort of chairty function or the like - as was the case with Bryant tonight - esp through Facebook Kobe certainly can't announce any player movement - that's not his role or position - but I got hit up by a ton of people thinking all that Kobe can annnounce injury stuff, future plans like retirement - but he can't announce anything the Lakers might do with amnesty in July I'm not sure what people were expecting Kobe to announce - he can't announce any team business other than his own individual perspective
