Report: Nets set to pursue Kevin Garnett

The New Jersey Nets plan to pursue Boston Celtics veteran forward Kevin Garnett on the free-agent market this offseason, according to the New York Post and New Jersey Star-Ledger.According to reports, the Nets want to beef up the power forward position and would like to add Garnett’s championship experience. New Jersey is still holding out hope for Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard while trying to hang on to point guard Deron Williams. Six-foot-10 center Ersan Ilyasova of the Milwaukee Bucks is also on the Nets’ free-agent radar this offseason.
