Kenyon Martin weighing offer from China

Denver Nuggets power forward Kenyon Martin is mulling an offer that would make his the highest-paid player in the Chinese Basketball Association.

The Denver Post, citing a source, said the offer to Martin is higher than the reported $3 million that Nuggets teammate J.R. Smith has received.

The 33-year-old Martin averaged 8.6 points and 6.2 rebounds last season.

One drawback for NBA players is that the Chinese league does not offer opt-out clauses that give them the opportunity to return when the lockout is settled.
