Rockets G Martin has labral tear in shoulder
Houston Rockets shooting guard Kevin Martin has a tear in the labral of his right shoulder.
An MRI exam on Wednesday revealed the tear and tests showed it to be a pre-existing injury.
Martin has been sidelined for the past six games with what the team has said is a strained right shoulder.
He aggravated the shoulder injury on Feb. 2, resulting in a dramatic decline in his offensive production. He had a stretch in early February where he scored 16 points in four games.
Martin, who remains the team’s leading scorer with an average of 17.1 points per game, is still being listed as day-to-day by the club.
