Gersson Rosas, who had been the Rockets Vice President for player personnel for the past three seasons, was elevated to the title of Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations, the team announced on Thursday.

Rosas was a candidate for the assistant general manager position with the Spurs. The Spurs hired Jazz assistant coach Scott Layden to succeed Dennis Lindsey, the former Rockets director of player personnel who was named Jazz general manager.
