Rockets PG Lowry hospitalized
Houston Rockets point guard Kyle Lowry was hospitalized with a fever and abdominal distress.
The Houston Chronicle reported that initial tests were negative but Lowry is unlikely to play in Saturday’s game at New Jersey.
Lowry had undergone an MRI exam that revealed no significant damage to a painful and sore groin.
Backup point guard Goran Dragic, who is dealing with a bruised foot, is expected to start in place of Lowry.
Lowry has averaged 15.0 points and 9.5 assists for the Rockets, who have lost five consecutive games.
