Rockets PG Lowry to miss 2-4 weeks
Houston Rockets point guard Kyle Lowry is expected to be sidelined for two to four weeks with a bacterial infection.
Lowry has been hospitalized in New York since Thursday due to a fever and abdominal distress. He is expected to return to Houston on Tuesday.
The illness caused Lowry to miss Sunday’s loss at Cleveland and Saturday’s win at New Jersey.
Goran Dragic has played well in two starts, scoring 20 points and handing out eight assists against the Cavaliers after notching 23 points and eight assists against the Nets.
Lowry is having a breakout season for the Rockets, averaging 15.9 points, 7.2 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game.
Houston, which has lost six of seven, will face the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday.
