Rockets Recall Motiejunas from D-League
The Rockets recalled rookie forward Donatas Motiejunas from his NBA Development League assignment on Sunday. Motiejunas spent nearly two weeks with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. In two games, he averaged 24.0 points and 9.5 rebounds.
“I prefer to play on a team like this and get an opportunity to get a lot of minutes and freedom on the court than sit on the bench,” Motiejunas said of his D-League experience. “I think it was a smart move by the Rockets to let me get back to the level I was before the season started. I’m thankful for all the people who were helping me and supporting me.”
