Ronny Turiaf is on the verge of signing with the Miami Heat, sources close to the situation confirm. After being bought out by the Denver Nuggets, Turiaf is finalizing a contract with Miami. Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports first reported the deal.
Turiaf has played for the Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks and Washington Wizards. Over the course of his seven-year career, Turiaf has averaged 5.2 points and 3.8 rebounds.

Most "big announcements" involve some sort of chairty function or the like - as was the case with Bryant tonight - esp through Facebook Kobe certainly can't announce any player movement - that's not his role or position - but I got hit up by a ton of people thinking all that Kobe can annnounce injury stuff, future plans like retirement - but he can't announce anything the Lakers might do with amnesty in July
