Rose: ‘Everybody knows it’s not our fault’

NBA reigning Most Valuable Player Derrick Rose is pointing the blame for the league’s current labor problems squarely at the owners.

“It’s very sad, but everybody knows it’s not our fault,” the Chicago Bulls’ point guard said Saturday. “If it was up to us, we’d be out there playing. I think that is wrong and I know they could easily take care of it.”

The 23-year-old Rose expressed frustration as he’s seen training camp and even two weeks of the regular season wided out by the impasse.

NBA commissioner David Stern has threatened to cancel the league’s Christmas Day games should an agreement not be reached in short order.

Rose guided the Bulls to an NBA-best 62 wins in the regular season, but saw his team bounced by the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference final.
