Roy Hibbert Displays Increased Strength

One of Roy Hibbert’s biggest problems during the first four years of his career was an inability to get deep position in the post. It wasn’t uncommon for him to get pushed out of the post, causing it to be difficult to make a move to the basket.

That really hasn’t been a problem for Hibbert in the preseason. He’s doing a good job getting deep and sealing off his man so that his teammates have a nice target to throw the ball.

He said a solid offseason of working out has made it difficult for defenders to bully him in the post.

“I really worked on getting stronger so I couldn’t easily get pushed around,” Hibbert said.
