Rubio Apologizes; Porter Says ‘Dead Issue’

Timberwolves acting head coach Terry Porter and point guard Ricky Rubio have talked, and both agree that there is no issue between them.
Rubio didn’t play in the fourth quarter of Wednesday’s loss to Brooklyn at Target Center.
But after Friday’s morning shootaround, Rubio made it clear he has no issue with Porter. “Of course I was frustrated,” Rubio said. “I wanted to play.
Still, Rubio said he apologized to Porter. “Because it came up I was saying something against him,” Rubio said. “And I never went against him. It was something that I was against me, by myself, because I was frustrated with me.”
Porter also downplayed the situation. “He was frustrated, like any player would be who wants to play in the fourth quarter,” said Porter, a two-time All-Star point guard. “So, really, a dead issue.”
