Well, this is pretty much exactly what you’d expect from Rudy Gay against the Golden State Warriors’ defense.

The Memphis Grizzlies forward’s stat line Friday wasn’t anything special — 18 points on 7-of-18 shooting and 8 rebounds.

But what Gay did in the opening minutes set the bar for the early season dunks. Watch him throw it down in the video below (and direct your questions about the audio to the NBA).

Great move by Gay, but was Harrison Barnes acting out “rookie mistake” in a game of charades during this play? And of course you have David Lee giving you the kind of effort you’d expect from someone earning more than $12.7 million this season.

But Lee one-upped himself later on in the game by handing the ball to a referee after a missed free throw.

Stay gold, Warriors.
