Scott Skiles is no longer the coach of the Milwaukee Bucks, according to a person familiar with the discussions.

The person, who spoke to USA TODAY Sports on the condition of anonymity because the team had yet to announce the move, said it was a mutual decision between Skiles and the team.

Skiles has been the coach of the Bucks since the 2008-09 season, compiling a record of 162-182, with one playoff appearance. Overall, Skiles has a record of 443-433 in 13 seasons. He was in the last year of his contract with the Bucks.

The Bucks are 16-16 this season and have lost four straight games.

NBA.com reported earlier that Skiles told the Bucks he didn’t want to come back after this season but that the team had asked him to keep an open mind and that they might be willing to offer him about another deal.

Skiles’ situation isn’t the only one the team has to address. General manager John Hammond is in the final year of his contract. Guard Brandon Jennings will be a restricted free agent after this season and Monta Ellis has an opt out clause in his contract after this season.
