Serge Ibaka learned earlier this week what it’s like to dole out a hit. Now he’s familiar with being on the receiving end of one.
Ibaka was the talk of the NBA after he hit Blake Griffin below the belt on Sunday in the Thunder’s win over the Clippers. After drawing a fine but not a suspension for the incident, the Thunder forward looked like he could continue with his standout season.
But Ibaka found himself on the business end of a swinging arm Thursday when Amar’e Stoudemire struck him on the chin when jumping for a shot in the first quarter. Check it out here (GIF courtesy of Bleacher Report):
The third-year pro fell to the ground and had a bloodied mouth to show for his defensive efforts, but he returned to the game.
