Sergey Karasev Dropping out of 2013 Draft?
Some NBA teams being told by people close to Sergey Karasev that the Russian SF will not be in the 2013 draft….
Not a great surprise because Karasev is only 19 and has a chance to develop into more of a prospect than being on the bubble for the first round. But if the early word holds, the draft has lost one of the better candidates from Europe.
Barring a mass withdrawl, though, 2013 could be a decent bounceback for overseas impact after minimal influence last June. Rudy Gobert of France, a possibility for late-lottery, and Dario Saric of Croatia lead the way.
