Sessions: Lakers Definitely Want Me Back
When the Lakers traded for Ramon Sessions, Mitch Kupchak said the plan was for Sessions to be here for more than the rest of the season.
Sessions said he wants to stay with the team.
“Definitely hope to be here,” Sessions said. “Hopefully, everything works out.”
Sessions had a hot start in sparking the Lakers’ offense but struggled the rest of the way, including the postseason. He said Tuesday he has not decided what to do regarding his $4.6 million option to return — or whether to test free agency. He believes his decision is due by June 20.
“It was definitely clear leaving the meeting (with Kupchak and Lakers coach Mike Brown) that they wanted me back,” Sessions said.
