Shelden’s Injury Worries Avery Johnson
Deron Williams had 30 points and nine assists and the Nets, who started the game with 10 players in uniform and finished with only eight, stymied the Pacers, 100-84, tonight before a delighted crowd of 10,817 at the Prudential Center.
MarShon Brooks had his best showing in weeks, scoring 17 points, as four Nets starters scored in double figures. The fifth was Shelden Williams, who left the game in the second quarter and was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with an eye injury.
“We’re really concerned about Shelden,” Avery Johnson said. “We think Jordan Williams is going to be okay.” … Anthony Morrow missed his second straight game with a bruised right (shooting) shoulder, and Jordan Famar missed his second straight with a groin injury.
