WASHINGTON — Chris Bosh stayed in Miami. LeBron James and Dwyane Wade watched one quarter from the Miami Heat bench, fashionably dressed of course. Udonis Haslem received treatment and watched the Heat-Washington Wizards game from the locker room.
Playing without four starters, the Heat defeated the Wizards 103-98 Wednesday, illustrating just how deep the Heat are.
Since Feb. 1, Washington has the sixth-best winning percentage in the Eastern Conference, and it entered the game against the Heat with a nine-game home winning streak. Its decent play has coincided with point guard John Wall’s growing game.
And Miami, which has already clinched the top seed in the East and is on the verge of clinching the league’s best overall record, still won.

Heat forward Shane Battier scored 15 points (5-of-8 three-pointers) and point guard Mario Chalmers scored 13 points (3-of-7 threes). Guard Ray Allen, one of the best three-pointer shooters in NBA history, was 1-for-7 on threes, but had a team-high 23 points. Forward Rashard Lewis had 17 and hit 3-of-8 three-pointers.
Wall finished with another strong game, coming a rebound shy of a triple-double: 17 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds. Guard A.J. Price had 23 points off the bench.… [For more on Shorthanded Heat beat Wizards without four starters, click here.]
