Sixers not Mentally Tough Enough?
The 76ers’ regular-season home finale Tuesday night had a familiar feel to it.
As the Sixers have done for most of the year in close games, they gave themselves a chance to win.
But the Sixers once again couldn’t finish the job in a 102-97 loss to the Pacers at the Wells Fargo Center.
The defeat dropped the Sixers to 3-18 in games decided by seven or fewer points.
“Eventually, you have to win some of those games,” said Sixers coach Doug Collins. “There’s two things we haven’t done this year — win close games and get to the free-throw line. Those are physical and mental toughness.”
