Size Becoming an Issue for Timberwolves

The size of the Timberwolves guards is becoming an issue for the team, and coach Rick Adelman said he might have to make changes.

“Three of our guards are small,” Adelman said before the Wolves’ game Saturday night, Feb. 2, against New Orleans at Target Center. “Maybe it’s playing more zone or changing the lineup. I don’t know. When we get into situations like that, facing bigger guards, we have to figure something out.”

Adelman said Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, who stands 6-6, “picked us apart” during the Wolves’ loss to the Lakers on Friday night. Bryant magnified the Wolves’ problem when he was able to use his size and strength against Ridnour and Rubio to get into position for a shot or a pass.
