Forward Roscoe Smith is the latest player to leave the University of Connecticut men’s basketball program.

Smith received a release from his scholarship, becoming the fifth player to walk away from the team since the season ended.

Jeremy Lamb and Andre Drummond have both said they will enter the NBA draft, forward Alex Oriakhi is transferring to Missouri and forward Michael Bradley was released from his scholarship.

UConn, which won its third national title in 2011, was banned from the 2013 NCAA tournament for failing to meet academic requirements.

The 6-foot-8 Smith averaged 4.4 points and 3.4 rebounds as a sophomore.
