Crazy stats from Heat’s win vs. Cavs

Here are some incredible numbers from the Miami Heat’s 98-95 victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers in Cleveland on Wednesday, a game in which the Heat fell behind 67-40 with 7:44 left in the third quarter.
With the win, Miami has won 24 consecutive games, the second-longest winning streak in NBA history. They are nine wins shy of tying the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers’ record of 33 wins in a row.
According to Elias Sports Bureau, the Heat are just the fourth road team in 1,320 games to trail by at least 27 points in the second half since the 2000-01 season and win. The others: Phoenix, down 29 in the third quarter, beat the Boston Celtics on Dec. 5, 2003; Sacramento, down 35 in the third quarter, beat the Chicago Bulls on Dec. 21, 2009; Milwaukee, down 27 in the third quarter, beat the Bulls on Nov. 26, 2012.
All teams – home or away – trailing by 27 points or more in the second half, are 6-2,013 in the past 15 seasons, according to ESPN Stats & Info.
During James’ career with Cleveland, the Cavaliers were 39-0 in home or road games in which the led by 27 points or more. It was also the biggest collapse in Cleveland’s 43-year history.
Miami outscored Cleveland 58-28 from the final 19 minutes, three seconds of the game. During that stretch, the Heat made 50% of their shots, including 58.8% of their three-point attempts. LeBron James was 3-of-5 on threes, Shane Battier was 3-of-4 on threes and Ray Allen was 3-of-6 on threes during that period. The Cavaliers shot just 35.7% during the stretch after shooting 50.9% prior to that point.
At one point during Miami’s run, it scored on 15 consecutive possessions.
James had a triple-double: 25 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists.
James almost had a triple-double in the second half with 19 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. He also added three steals and two blocks in the final two quarters.
