Source: MRI Shows No Tear for Taj Gibson
An MRI on the left knee of Chicago Bulls forward Taj Gibson showed no tear of the same sprained MCL that caused him to miss 10 games earlier this season, and he will be re-evaluated on Thursday, a source said.
It’s uncertain how long Gibson will be out, the source said.
Gibson reinjured his knee during a 90-86 loss to the Washington Wizards on Tuesday. He sprained his left MCL in February and was sidelined for a month before returning on March 21. He has played the past six games, averaging 10.1 points and 6.2 rebounds.
“That’s what happens when you rush back and try to help your team win,” Gibson said.
