LaSalle Thompson has emerged as a candidate to join Mike Woodson’s coaching staff, according to a source.

Thompson would replace Kenny Atkinson, who left the club to join the Atlanta Hawks.

Thompson was Woodson’s teammate with the Kansas City Kings and also coached under Larry Brown in Charlotte, where Thompson worked with Tyson Chandler.
