Sources: Nets Calling Up Larry Owens

The New Jersey Nets are in the process of calling up Tulsa 66ers forward Larry Owens from the D-League, according to sources close to the situation.

Owens will receive a non-guaranteed contract for the rest of the season, sources said, that becomes guaranteed if he lasts with New Jersey past Feb. 10.

The move is on track to be finalized Wednesday, sources said, but details are still being finalized. With a 15-man roster, New Jersey has to make a move first to create a slot for Owens.
