Spurs’ Ginobili on Game 4: ‘We blew it’
The Spurs never really played well at any point. But they were at least five minutes away from taking a 3-1 series lead as they led by eight points down the stretch.
They unraveled not long after, missing 15 of their final 17 shots as the Warriors closed on a 25-7 run. It was strikingly similar to what happened to the Warriors in Game 1, who lost in double-overtime after blowing a 16-point lead with four minutes left.
“We had them where we wanted,” Manu Ginobili said, “and we blew it. It kind of hurts. We had a great opportunity.”
